Russia’s 102nd military base in Armenia is reinforced by a new batch of combat and transport helicopters.
«Six units of modern combat Mi-24P and transport Mi-8Mt helicopters of Army Aviation arrived from the military airport in the Krasnodar region. Currently, in the Caucasus the Russian network has formed a squadron of helicopters of the army aviation, carrying out also the assembly of aviation vehicles,» informs the Southern Military District press service.
The press service reports that the flights on these vehicles will begin in the first quarter of 2016.
Note: On December 8, the Russian military base in Armenia received seven modern attack Mi-24P and transport Mi-8MT helicopters. The new vehicles are placed in the Yerevan Erebuni military airport, where are also based the Russian MiG-29 jet fighters.
