Armenian Athletes in Baku

Sportsmen from Armenia, Finland, Slovakia, Estonia, Ireland, Portugal and Israel have already arrived in Baku to participate in the first European games. The athletes were met at the airport by the representatives of the Organizing Committee of the European Games «Baku-2015» and volunteers. According to the «Hayots Ashkhar» newspaper, the Armenian delegation consists of former world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling Vaghinak Galstyan, responsible for the international relations of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), Public TV sports commentator Karen Giloyan, sports physicians and a number of officials. On June 11 the Armenian delegation will be joined by the NOC Vice-President  Derenik Gabrielyan,  Vice-President of the Wrestling Federation Hrant Yenokyan, coaches and athletes from other federations. The leaders of the Armenian national team in Greco-Roman wrestling  Arsen Julfalakyan and Arthur Alexanyan refused to participate in the European Games to be held in Baku from June 12 to 28.
