The specialists of the State Engineering University of Armenia developed a new device that protects from the electric shock. The device is installed directly on the appliance powered on 1 or 3-phase networks. If the current of 5 mA and higher passes through body or instrument, the device automatically turns off for 10-20 milliseconds, in this way protecting people from possible electric shock. The authors have patented their invention which has already attracted the interest of the Russian Technograd «Skolkovo». In mass production, the cost of an option for the network 220 volts and 25 amps may reach 5-6 thousand drams ($ 12-13). The imported foreign counterparts cost about 30-35 thousand drams.
