Armenian Church will formally demand from Turkey to return the property

The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is preparing and collecting necessary materials at this stage to file a lawsuit demanding that the Turkish authorities return the seized property of the Armenian Church, as said by the spokesman of the Holy Etchmiadzin, priest Vahram Melikyan in an interview to the “RUSARMINFO” agency in regards to the words of the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. “We believe that the raised issues should be available to a larger public and Turkish population as well to condemn the Genocide committed at the beginning of the century. We insist on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Turkey in order to respond to our demands. We believe that there’s no alternative for Turkey,” told His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians in an interview to the Voice of America. Earlier, a similar lawsuit was filed by Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I and Jerusalem and Constantinople dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
