European Championship: Armenian wrestlers won two gold, silver and bronze medals

The Armenian freestyle wrestlers Arsen Harutyunyan (46 kg) and Vazgen Tevanyan (58 kg) won gold medals at the European junior championship held in Serbia, reports the Armenian Wrestling Federation.

Harutyunyan with a score of 10: 3 gained victory over the Georgian athlete Giorgy Chakhidze, and in the final session Tevanyan appeared to be stronger than the wrestler from Turkey.

In the weight category of 100 kg Hovhannes Magaghyan from Armenia got a silver.

Another athlete from Armenia, Greco-Roman wrestler Tigran Minasyan, in the weight category 54 kg won the bronze medal.

From August 25 to 30 Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the World Youth Championship in wrestling, which will be also attended by Armenian athletes.
